Biohazard

Biohazard is an American hardcore band from Brooklyn, New York. They’re one of the earliest bands to fuse hardcore punk and heavy metal with elements of hip-hop.

My crewmate Dams introduced me to their music, but I’ve got to admit: at first, I wasn’t that impressed. Then came 1994 and the release of State of the World Address — that’s the album that got me into Biohazard. Once I was hooked, their earlier releases started to make more sense to me, too. I followed them until the early 2000s, but by then, I was already discovering more and more music and kind of forgot about them. The last album I have is Uncivilized, released in 2001.

At one (or few) point(s), they even broke up or went on a longer hiatus, but in 2022, they made a comeback with the original lineup. A few years later, they introduced us to new music. And their 2025 release, Divided We Fall, is a brilliant album — really strong ’90s vibes, if you ask me.

Instead of linking to their Spotify page, I’ll present you with three music videos: Tales from the Hard Side, After Forever (a Black Sabbath cover), and Fuck the System — the last one from their very latest album.
