Now, this is an interesting band — or duo, or whatever you’d call them. I first came across them in 2022, when they were about to play here in Helsinki.

At the time, I’d never heard about them before. But the bizarre description in a local newspaper — something about ‘satanic Mexican industrial techno metal‘ — immediately caught my attention. Naturally, I opened Spotify (which I still used back then) and started digging into the band. And I wasn’t disappointed!

No matter how the journalist or critic tried to describe their musical direction, I’d say they sound pretty close to Ministry (industrial metal from the USA) and King Satan (industrial metal from Finland). The ‘Satan’ part is obvious: it comes from the lyrics and the fact that they always perform wearing goat-head masks to hide their identity. In Mexico, a deeply religious country, satanic imagery and its representatives are not appreciated at all. So performing under monikers and masked is also a safety measure.

The band hasn’t released anything new in years — their last studio album came out in 2021 — but if you’re curious, check out their music and, while you’re at it, their videos too.
