ANIMALIZE (MERCURY, 1984)
In 1984, KISS released an album that I still consider one of their best. What can I say — I was nine years old at the time.
Even though my favorite album has changed over the years, Animalize — and especially its second track (yes, Heaven’s on Fire) — remains one of my go-to songs when I want to listen to KISS.
There’s also a rather cheesy music video for it, and KISS released quite a few similar ones back then. It was the first video I ever saw from the band, and for what I remember, it even got some rotation in Finland. Come to think of it, a lot of 198-1985 hard rock videos were aired in here back then. But anyway, I’ll link to a live performance of the song instead. Hope you enjoy it!
