Since I posted a few Lana sketches, I also want to present a couple of them that I actually painted on a wall.
About the choice of colors: as we all know, Russia launched a full-scale attack on Ukraine in 2022. Out of solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainians, I started painting using only different shades of blue and yellow. No matter what I painted — my own name, band names, or anything else — it was always in blue and yellow. As is with the 1st picture. I did this for two years straight, until I felt that at least my point had been made. Now I also use other colors again, hence few additional ones in the 2nd picture. But despite the colors, my heart is constantly with Ukrainians.
So yeah, Lana Del Rey… as mentioned, this artist has clearly struck a nerve with me, since I’ve enjoyed painting her name on several occasions — and probably will in the future too. Until then, enjoy these few pieces.
