Epson XP-8700 is the one I’ve been using since 2022. It’s a pretty decent device — I mainly use it for printing and editing sketches by hand, but even more for scanning photos and drawings. For a “cheap” printer/scanner, it actually performs rather well in that department. This particular Epson produces excellent black and white illustrations and text. I haven’t printed that many color images, but the few cartoons I have printed turned out okay.
The downside is the ink: the color cartridges are expensive, especially since this model uses six of them. And like with many inkjets, they tend to clog if not used regularly. A full set of cartridges can cost about the same as a brand-new printer — but unfortunately, that seems to be the general pricing policy with printers nowadays.
Before this, I had another Epson — can’t remember the exact model anymore. It was a slightly more expensive one, but it served me well for many years.
