Turmion Kätilöt
Turmion Kätilöt (“Midwives of Ruin”, “Midwives of Bane” or “Midwives of Perdition”) is an industrial metal group from Finland. So far (as by the early 2026), they have released eleven absolutely killer studio albums. They sing mostly in Finnish, with a few exceptions.
This band is truly something else – they perform catchy disco metal songs and like to pair the songs with wonderfully disturbed videos. Don’t believe me? Well, do check out their YouTube channel!
I started listening to them in 2005-2006. Their second album, Pirun Nyrkki, hadn’t yet been released, and I was eagerly waiting for it to hit the stores. Before that, I had only heard a few tracks from them but I was really digging what I’d heard so far. I bought those earlier releases at the same time as Pirun Nyrkki. I’ve been a fan ever since.

These are collections of artwork based on one selected band, all gathered into a single file, a book, per artist, without descriptions for individual pieces. Some — or even all — of the artworks presented in these features have previously been shown here, accompanied by descriptive texts and additional photos (usually of graffiti based on the sketches).
For a few bands that mean more to me than most, I’ve naturally created more artwork, so it felt like a good idea to give those bands a bit more exposure than the majority of the content you see here.
