F.K.Ü. is a thrash metal band from Sweden – and they’re absolutely brilliant!
The band was formed in the late ninieties, but they sound as if they traveled here in a time machine straight from the early eighties.
Seriously: they capture the best of early thrash, but with modern production. The humor, the horror movie references, the catchy riffs, the ultra-short blasts alongside the classic three-minute thrash anthems… and the visuals to tie it all together. Even their name is part of the fun: Freddy Krueger’s Ünderwear. Honestly, when I crave some old-school thrash, I find myself returning to them instead of the actual eighties bands. That’s how good they are!
I was actually lucky enough to work with them on their website for a few years, right after they released their 3rd album Where Moshers Dwell in 2009. Fine lads! Four-finger salute!
