Ghosts of Atlantis

Ghosts of Atlantis is a metal band from the UK. I discovered them only a few years ago — and what a pleasant surprise they’ve been!

They describe themselves as a fierce, atmospheric fusion of modern metal, brooding cinematic tension, and deep mythological storytelling.” Fair enough. To me, they’re simply a damn good metal band, with a soundscape that reminds me a bit of Dimmu Borgir, Zonaria, and even Mercenary. Their music is well-produced, well-played, and sounds absolutely massive. And catchy as hell!

So far, they’ve released just two albums: 3.6.2.4 (there’s obviously some deeper meaning behind the title — I just don’t know what it is) and Riddles of the Sycophants. I urge you to check out both. In fact, check out anything you can find by this band. Their records aren’t the easiest to track down here in Finland, but thankfully, teh Internets saves us all. I ordered both albums directly from their Bandcamp page.
