Ministry is an American industrial metal band. They’ve been around forever — and they’re really damn good!
Like probably many of my age, I discovered the band in 1992, just after they’d released the Psalm 69 album. The N.W.O. video was in heavy rotation on MTV, and you just couldn’t miss the song and its really catchy guitar riff. The video became even more famous when it appeared on Beavis & Butt-Head. I’ve more or less bought every album released after Psalm 69. The original video seems to be really hard to find on YouTube — obviously, something in it triggers YouTube’s censors.
Ministry has been politically active for decades, criticizing the US government and whatnot. They’ve sampled quite a lot of phrases and sentences from various politicians in their music, including George W. Bush and Donald Trump among others. Hell, they even dedicated three whole albums to Bush.
So yeah, here’s a Ministry sketch, with a bunch of sketches based on their songs coming later on!
