Petettyjen Puolue (Party of the Betrayed) is — or was — a Finnish rock group whose vocalist is none other than rap artist Steen1, a good friend of mine.
But this isn’t rap; it’s more like a Finnish version of Rage Against the Machine, with some Tool vibes. Or so I’m told (I don’t listen to Tool, so I can’t really comment on that).
Regardless, the music itself is catchy, well-produced, heavy rock with socially critical lyrics. They’ve only released one, self-titled album. Unfortunately it’s a digital-only release, which is slightly disappointing. Fortunately, you can purchase it from platforms like Apple Music, so you’re not entirely dependent on streaming services. And yes, it’s available on most streaming services too.
